Charles Jencks 2007
In the pluralistic and post iconic age, this latest Jencks book is helpful in analysis of “post” post modern.
Jencks begins to quoin the phrase “critical modernism” in response to the overall shift in world view (from hybridisation of national culture, blurring of social class to globalisation and economic rationalism).
The term critical derived from “critical mass” and the tipping point. This book is an interesting exploration of where things are and where they might be leading.
