The Tokyo store is one of a number of stores designed to raise the global Prada profile still further. The building is a rhomboid shape with the top pitched section almost alluding to a traditional roof. The entire outer surface is covered in glazed panels set in a diagonal grid.

Differing panels – some convex, some flat create an oscillating effect across the surface and allows alternating images of the interior, The fact that the glazing is allowed to cover the roof slopes adds to the unsettling feeling of the building.
